Cambridge Builders & Contractors has begun construction of 880 Glenwood Avenue Apartments, a 325-unit, five-story luxury multifamily project with a five-story precast parking deck slated to become one of the first apartment developments in Georgia to receive LEED® Silver certification. Set on a five acre site next to Glenwood Park and along the Beltline in Atlanta, the upscale eco-driven community will offer one, two, and three bedroom apartments ranging from 693 to 2,574 square feet, featuring 9’ ceilings, stainless steel appliances, high-end countertops, balconies, and “green” technologies such as energy-saving windows, low-water consumption plumbing, energy efficient lighting and appliances, solar energy, non-toxic paint, carpet and indoor finishes, as well as heat-resistant roofing systems. Some of the units are designed for live/work and Glenwood will offer full amenities to its residents.
When completed, 880 Glenwood will be the second major LEED®-certified development constructed by Cambridge Builders within the last two years and the project will offer 302,185 rentable square feet for residents seeking in-town living, access to public transportation as well as walking distance to many area restaurants, parks, and other services. The architectural firm, 2PA, Poole & Poole Architecture of Richmond, Virginia designed the project.
